Character Development Through Sports

There’s a reason so many motivational speakers use sports as a metaphor for life. There are innumerable parallels between what it takes to be successful both in real life and on the playing field.

I believe that character can be taught, learned and build in a sports setting. All our programmes are structured including the environment and the planned goal is to develop character to everyone.

As unique as we are, we believe in character development instead of high performance development.

Here's few examples our participants learned through our sessions.

1) Teamwork

Teamwork gives rise to sense of trust and respect for others. It will create a friendly and more open environment

2)  Team

We are rarely alone. Team participation can build self-esteem, promote social interaction and help one gain a sense of responsibility. Being involved in a team sport can also help you to attain personal fitness goals and maintain wellness. The time spent practicing with a team, will improve your skills and give you countless hours of enjoyment.

3) Mentoring

Encouraging mentoring system. It is a semi-structured guidance whereby our regulars share their knowledge, skills and experience to assist new members to progress. We strongly believe that it's a chain for ‘passing on’ good practice so that the benefits can be widely spread.

4) Courage

The ability to try something new through resistance of fear.  We will try in our best of our abilities to guide you to overcome your fear through progression and safety.

5) Friendship

Sports brings out a variety of people, so you'll share a common point of interest. You don't need to worry about making small talk in order to bond because the play you're involved in will help you do that. As a result, you'll have more to talk about after the games and practices.

But make no mistake, sports also help you get along socially. If you're someone that struggles with social grace, sports can teach you about interacting with other people, listening, and letting someone else have center stage. You'll learn to take the spotlight without arrogance when you win like a champ, and handle losses with humility.

6) Fun

When you accumulate points 1- 5, without any doubt you will be able to achieve fun in the activities you are involved in.
